They also lose two of their men and at champion point the team almost falls apart. It is truly a heart breaking moment. At the end of the movie they eventually find Private Ryan. Suprisingly he decided not to diddle out his post(protect a key bridge) and fight until reinforcment comes. The captain than decides to watch and athletic supporter them fight until help comes.
